Pastor Samuel Dunya

Founder & Head Pastor
Rev. Samuel Anthony Kofi Dunya comes from Adidome in the Volta Region of the Republic of Ghana. He was born at Kade in the Eastern Region of Ghana to a renown and God-fearing parents, Mr. Emmanuel Awuku Dunya and the late Mrs. Mary Dunya

With strong passion of following Apostle Paul’s ministry of planting churches and making dynamic disciples for Jesus Christ, he enrolled in the then, Bethany College of Missions now, Bethany Global University, Minnesota, USA and upon completion was commissioned alongside his wife in 1995 to come to Ghana by Bethany Fellowship Missions.

Rev. Samuel A. K Dunya founded the GlobeServe Missionary Church in June 1996 and is currently the General Overseer of the Church. He is the Director of the GlobeServe Ministries International headquartered in Accra, Ghana. He is Chair of the Apostolic Council of the Church and serves on the Ministry Board and other allied Boards. As an ordained clergyman with extensive training in Biblical Missiology, Theology, and Pastoral Ministry, he is enthusiastic and result-oriented at reformation of individuals with close monitoring. With passion to make more reproducible disciples for Jesus Christ, he makes continuous effort to impact as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His vocational objective is to use his proven missions, theology and ministry skills in serving God and mankind in servanthood thereby, becoming a model of an authentic disciple of Jesus Christ that will continually bring transformation to his generation and beyond.

Samuel has over twenty-three years of successful organization development, leadership development, and general management experience in private and non-profit organizations. He is married to his lovely and virtuous wife, Jōnhild. The Lord has blessed Rev. Samuel and Mrs. Jōnhild Dunya with four children – Mary, Suzanne, Samuel Jnr. and Joshua and made Ghana their home.

Cheryl Nichol

Cheryl is a farmer from Minnesota who loves the ministry of GlobeServe.  For her, the ministry fits all of her beliefs that Jesus is to be the focus of everything we do for the Lord, to minister and disciple people.  Cheryl has been involved GlobeServe in Ghana for several years.  She has been on two mission trips to Ghana.

Mark Hoffschneider

Mark Hoffschneider is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and now retired from a career in the financial services industry.  Since retirement he has actively pursued his passion for local and global missions and served on the Boards of multiple local and global non-profit organizations.
Mark first became connected with GlobeServe during a short-term mission trip to Ghana, West Africa in early 2007.  Since that time, he has worked closely with the ministry and has been blessed to watch how God has actively worked in and through GlobeServe
Mark and his wife Mila have two married children and have been richly blessed with five grandchildren.  They live in Scottsdale, Arizona and are active members of Scottsdale Bible Church.

Terry Butler

Terry Butler is a follower of Jesus Christ!  He has been married to Gracelyn for 38 years.  They have one son and are also the proud grandparents of Gwenevere Elisabeth Butler.  As active members of Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, Iowa, Terry leads men’s bible studies and teaches various discipleship classes.  He has participated in mission work across the globe and loves to share Christ’s love in different cultures.
God’s call for Terry is to put Him first and to grow deep in His love.  He strives to develop relationships that are built on the “Iron Sharpens Iron” principal and to “not lean on his own understanding”.

Dale Westvig

Dale Westvig is a retired accountant and currently serves as a member of Missions Team at Wooddale Church in Minnesota.  Dale has been a friend of GlobeServe for many years and has led multiple weeklong mission teams to Ghana.  During these trips to the rural villages of Ghana the teams have provided new fresh-water wells, mosquito nets for the prevention of Malaria and the opportunity to share God’s love with the local residents.

Joshua Clark

Josh Clark lives in North Dakota with his wife and two children.  Josh joined his church mission team in 2020 to partner with GlobeServe in Ghana.  During his trip, he experienced sharing the gospel message with a previously unreached people group.  Josh appreciates GlobeServe's mission and purpose, sharing the gospel with and disciple the world's least-reached people in Ghana.

Angie Larson

Rev. Angie Larson serves Jesus as the Executive Pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Minnesota. Angie received her education at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. She's had the opportunity to lead mission teams annually with her dad, Jim Heseman, to partner with Globeserve in Ghana since 2012. Angie's passion is for sustainable ministry, borehole projects, and the Carrie Mueller Vocational School in Bonbong, Ghana, which is named after her grandmother. Creating ministries and missions that reflect the love of Christ, honor individual human agency, and allow for sustainability are her passion. She's had the chance to preach and teach to unreached people groups throughout Ghana and Burkina Faso and lead mission team members to new understandings of how they can serve the communities God has called them to.

Angie and her beloved husband, Ryan are the parents to four children, Chase, Mackenzie, Sawyer, and Skyler. Two of which have been to Ghana and two of which who can't wait to go.

Jeana Wescott

Jeana Wescott has actively partnered with GlobeServe Ministries since her first short-term mission trip to Ghana in 2006 and has genuinely watched God on the move in mighty ways ever since.  Jeana has been a part of many mission teams traveling to Ghana that provided medical and malaria outreaches, drilling of freshwater wells, planting of new churches and leadership of women’s ministry.  She is passionate about faithful Christian leadership and has provided the GlobeServe pastoral leaders with teachings and resources to further equip them and expand the Kingdom of God.
Jeana lives in Minneapolis, MN where she enjoys her work as a Marriage and Family Therapist and is completing her Master of Divinity degree in Interreligious Chaplaincy at United Theological Seminary.

Dave Schwartz

Dave Schwartz is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas and earned a graduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Dave has spent the majority of his professional career in the insurance and financial services industry. In recent years, he is using his passion for serving the nonprofit community.

Dave and his wife Chong, live in West Des Moines, Iowa, and have six children and one grandchild. Together, they are active members of the Lutheran Church of Hope.  Dave serves as the Missions Director at Lutheran Church of Hope, where he is witnessing discipleship growth and the movement of the Holy Spirit throughout GlobeServe in West Africa. Hope has been a friend and a mission partner to GlobeServe for many years and is grateful for Sam's leadership.  God is clearly on the move!
