Pastor Samuel Dunya
Founder & Head Pastor
Rev. Samuel Anthony Kofi Dunya comes from Adidome in the Volta Region and was born at Kade in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
With strong passion of following Paul’s ministry of planting churches and making disciples for Jesus Christ, he enrolled in Bethany College of Missions (now Bethany Global University) in Minnesota. Upon completion he and his wife, Jonhild, were commissioned in 1995 to come to Ghana by Bethany Fellowship Missions. Sam founded the GlobeServe Missionary Church in June 1996 and is currently the General Overseer of the Church and the Director of the GlobeServe Ministries International headquartered in Accra, Ghana.
The Lord has blessed Rev. Samuel and Mrs. Jōnhild Dunya with four children – Mary, Suzanne, Samuel Jr, and Joshua.
Mark Hoffschneider
Chairman/President
Mark Hoffschneider is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and now retired from a career in the financial services industry. Since retirement he has actively pursued his passion for local and global missions and served on the Boards of multiple local and global non-profit organizations.
Mark first became connected with GlobeServe during a short-term mission trip to Ghana, West Africa in early 2007. Since that time, he has worked closely with the ministry and has been blessed to watch how God has actively worked in and through GlobeServe.
Mark and his wife Mila have two married children and have been richly blessed with five grandchildren. They live in Scottsdale, Arizona and are active members of Scottsdale Bible Church.
Dale Westvig

Dale Westvig is a retired accountant and currently serves as an active member of the Missions Team at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Dale has been a friend of GlobeServe for many years and served various roles of leadership. Throughout the years, he has led multiple short-term mission teams from Wooddale Church to Ghana. During these trips to the rural villages of Ghana the teams have provided new fresh-water wells, mosquito nets for the prevention of Malaria and the opportunity to share God’s love with the local residents.
Jeana Wescott, MDiv.

Jeana Wescott has actively partnered with GlobeServe Ministries since her first short-term mission trip to Ghana in 2006 and has genuinely watched God on the move in mighty ways ever since. Jeana has been a part of many mission teams traveling to Ghana that provided medical and malaria outreaches, drilling of freshwater wells, planting of new churches and leadership of women’s ministry. She is passionate about faithful Christian leadership and has provided the GlobeServe pastoral leaders with teachings and resources to further equip them and expand the Kingdom of God.
Jeana lives in Minneapolis, MN where she enjoys her work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received a Master of Divinity degree in Interreligious Chaplaincy at United Theological Seminary.
Tim Freeman

Tim serves as Senior Director for Development and Strategy for VisionSynergy. Its mission is to catalyze networks for Great Commission breakthroughs in regions of the world with the largest number of unreached people groups. He is also the Vice President of Operations for GO Movement, a global collaboration to mobilize believers towards a lifestyle of evangelism.
Tim and his wife Carol served as church planting missionaries for 15 years in the Philippines among Ilokanos, the third largest language group in the country.
Tim and Carol have five children and five grandchildren.
Angie Larson, MDiv.

Rev. Angie Larson serves as the Executive Pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Minnesota.
She received her education at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN.
Angie has the led mission teams with her dad, Jim Heseman, to partner with Globeserve in Ghana since 2012. Angie’s passion is for sustainable ministry, borehole projects, and the Carrie Mueller Vocational School in Bonbong, which is named after her grandmother. She’s had the chance to preach and teach to unreached people groups throughout Ghana and Burkina Faso
Angie and her beloved husband, Ryan are the parents to four children, Chase, Mackenzie, Sawyer, and Skyler.
Terry Butler

Terry Butler is a follower of Jesus Christ! He has been married to Gracelyn for 38 years. They have one son and are also the proud grandparents of Gwenevere Elisabeth Butler. As active members of Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, Iowa, Terry leads men’s bible studies and teaches various discipleship classes. He has participated in mission work across the globe and loves to share Christ’s love in different cultures.
God’s call for Terry is to put Him first and to grow deep in His love. He strives to develop relationships that are built on the “Iron Sharpens Iron” principal and to “not lean on his own understanding”.
Phil Sura

Phil Sura has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Wyoming, he
has a work history in sales, consulting and business operations.
His ministry involvement has included being a group leader with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for over twenty years. Previously, Phil served as an elder with a church plant and various board positions supporting missions. Additionally, he has volunteered in Ghana with Globe Ministries on two mission trips.
He has been married to Susan for
thirty-nine years and they have two adult children.
Chris Barfels

Chris Barfels holds degrees from Drake University, Purdue University and Xavier University. After a 15-year career in commercial banking followed by 10 years as a math teacher at Valley High School in West Des Moines he took the role of Missions Director at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines where he has been a member for 20+ years. He is looking forward to this new phase in his life and seeing how God is at work not only in Central Iowa but all around the world. Chris and his late wife Erin have 3 children.

Erica Abdel-Khaliq is currently the leader of Global Outreach at Westwood Community Church where she is responsible for guiding the direction of building disciples and churches throughout the world. Prior to serving at Westwood Erica was a global Marketing Executive at multiple Fortune 500 companies – responsible for creating the Marketing Strategy and Vision.
Erica Abdel-Khaliq is a graduate of Bethel University. Erica has recently led a team to Ghana to serve alongside GlobeServe in 2023 and is in awe of the many ways God is working through GlobeServe to share the love of Jesus.
Erica and her husband Ha-Keem have been married for 21 years and have two teenagers. Their family lives in the Twin Cities area and are active members at Westwood Community Church.
