By Globeserve Frauenshuh Preparatory School
Introduction
As we reflect on the remarkable progress of Globeserve Frauenshuh Preparatory School (GFPS) in Adidome, we give all glory and thanks to the Lord Almighty. His grace and provision have paved the way for significant strides in student enrollment, infrastructural improvements, and enhanced learning conditions. This progress would not have been possible without the dedication of our staff, the support of parents, and the commitment of stakeholders.
Enrollment Growth: Expanding Our Impact
The 2024-2025 academic year has welcomed 30 new students, bringing our total enrollment to 360 students. This steady growth affirms the increasing trust parents have in our institution and the quality education we offer. As the term progresses, we anticipate more enrollments, reinforcing our commitment to expanding access to education in Adidome.
Transportation Improvements: Ensuring Safe and Timely Commutes
This year, our transportation system received a crucial boost with the repair of the school bus and the hiring of a dedicated driver. These enhancements have ensured:
- Safety for students and teachers traveling to school.
- Improved punctuality, especially for students commuting from distant locations.
- Reliability in daily transportation services.
Classroom Upgrades: Enhancing Learning Spaces
Recognizing the importance of a conducive learning environment, we have successfully undertaken several classroom upgrades:
- Nursery block re-roofing completed
- Creche Room fully tiled for improved hygiene
- Floors cemented from Nursery 1 to KG1
- Corridors cemented to prevent injuries
Future Plans: We aim to extend tiling to all classrooms to further enhance safety and hygiene for our students.
School Feeding Program: Nutrition and Parental Involvement
We have engaged parents in discussions about implementing a school feeding program, recognizing the direct link between proper nutrition and academic performance. This initiative is expected to:
- Improve students’ overall nutrition and health
- Enhance concentration and learning outcomes
- Strengthen parental involvement in school affairs
Academic Excellence: Preparing Final Year Students
Our final-year students are diligently preparing for their Mock Examinations, an essential step toward their final exams in June. To support their success, we have provided:
- Extra tutoring sessions
- Academic mentorship and motivation from teachers
- Focused preparation strategies to enhance performance
Scholarship Program: Empowering Dreams
Several students continue to benefit from our scholarship program, generously supported by the school board. These scholarships have:
- Lifted financial burdens on families
- Provided opportunities for academic success
- Inspired recipients to aim higher in their aspirations
The gratitude expressed by these students speaks volumes about the transformative impact of these scholarships on their lives.
Looking Ahead: Future Plans & Call for Support
As we build upon our progress, our vision for GFPS includes:
