Rising Stars at GlobeServe Frauenshuh Preparatory School

From Spelling Bees to Cultural Revival

There is something special happening at GlobeServe Frauenshuh Preparatory School this academic year. From academic competitions to cultural enrichment, our students are not just learning—they’re shining, competing, and connecting to their roots in meaningful ways.

Victory at the National Junior Speller

On a bright morning at Dabala Junction, the air buzzed with anticipation as students from various schools gathered for this year’s National Junior Speller competition. Representing our school with confidence and poise, a selected group of bright minds from GlobeServe/Frauenshuh Preparatory School stepped onto the stage—nervous but prepared.

And they did not disappoint.

After a series of challenging rounds, our students emerged victorious, securing a well-deserved qualification to the Regional Round. This achievement is not just a testament to their hard work, but also the dedication of our teachers and the supportive learning environment we nurture here.

We practiced every day after school,” said one of the participants, beaming with pride. “It wasn’t easy, but we believed in ourselves.”

BECE Candidates Gear Up for the Big Exam

As our younger students conquer the spelling stage, our older learners—this year’s BECE candidates—are preparing for another milestone. With the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) scheduled from June 11th to 18th, 2025, the atmosphere is one of focus and quiet determination.

Teachers have been putting in extra hours, holding revision clinics, mock exams, and counseling sessions to ensure every child walks into the exam room with confidence and clarity.

“We believe they are ready—not just to pass, but to excel,” said a proud head teacher. “These students are the leaders of tomorrow, and we see the potential in every single one of them.”

Promoting Language and Culture with Nunya Domenyinyi Foundation

In the midst of academic activities, something truly heartwarming unfolded at the school grounds this week. Nunya Domenyinyi Foundation, an NGO committed to promoting and reviving the Eʋegbe language, visited the school as part of their literacy campaign.

They brought with them a precious gift—Eʋe reading books for the pupils. For many of our students, this was a moment of connection to their identity, their grandparents’ stories, and the rich heritage they come from.

“When children learn in the language of their culture, they don’t just learn—they remember. They feel seen and rooted,” said a representative of the Foundation.

These materials will help our pupils build reading fluency, expand their vocabulary, and most importantly, appreciate the beauty of the Eʋegbe language.

Looking Ahead with Hope and Confidence

At GlobeServe/Frauenshuh Preparatory School, we believe education should empower the whole child—mind, heart, and spirit. Whether it is standing on a spelling stage, sitting for national exams, or reading in one’s mother tongue, every moment counts in building the future we all hope for.

We are deeply grateful to the teachers, parents, community leaders, and partners like Nunya Domenyinyi Foundation who walk this journey with us. Together, we are nurturing more than students—we are raising a generation of confident, culturally-grounded leaders.
